How Will Lockdown 2.0 Affect Viewing Numbers?

Home owners interested in renting or selling their property seem to be under the impression that the market is at a standstill. However, statistics have suggested otherwise. 

It is thought that preliminary property interest will increase during lockdown 2.0 due to more free time at home. Despite this, actual viewing numbers will decrease as people refrain from unnecessary contact with non-family members. This may result in a property splurge after the commencement of this period. 

Families may notice their needs re-prioritise during the lockdown. There has been an increase in the desire for further space or a better view as people are spending more time at home. This can result in a pent-up demand after the coming lockdown & a surge of deals. 

Usually the summer months see a reduction in property sales & rentals as people book holidays away from their cities. This year, it has not been so easy, resulting in a retention of property interest & more consistent sales and rentals. 

Second homes have been requested elsewhere in the country as people plan for a UK getaway. The need to stay home has created a re-fascination with ones country & a further interest in the outdoors - increasing the likelihood of buying in the countryside. 

UK's affluent would usually have vacationed throughout the summer months elsewhere. However, due to the need to stay within the country, high-end property sales has increased as the target audience have brought their property search forward by a couple of months.
