What To Do In Lockdown On A Sunny London Day?

Recent relaxation on lockdown rules allows for groups of six to meet outdoors, or larger if from no more than two households. Thankfully, this change in rules also came with a relief from the poor weather and a fairly nice few days of sunshine. As the weather continues to improve, we formulated a list of things to do on hot London lockdown days.

1. Walk along the river

the thames extends throughout the centre of London, weaving through some of the most idyllic locations in the city. With a touch of sunshine, the experience of simply walking along the river becomes more satisfactory and aesthetically enticing.

2. Outdoor Swimming

A few locations have opened up their outdoor swimming pools, including Brockwell Lido. On Monday, a queue had formed outside this popular outdoor pool as many recognised this as a fantastic lockdown activity.
Open water swimming is also available at places alike to London Royal Docks. Unfortunately, we do still live in England and the temperature of open water will always take your breath away, so do this at your own risk.
Swimming Aerobics can be found at Hampton open air pool for some outdoor water exercise.

3. Golf

Finally, for the golfers out there, ranges are allowed to reopen their doors. No matter if golf is a hobby of yours or not, this can be a highly entertaining activity in the sunshine. Book at places like Greenwich Peninsula Driving Range to experience the bright cityscape of London whilst attempting to golf.

4. Sports

Alike to golf, group sports activities are allowed to be reintroduced. Meeting up at a football ground or local park with the rest of your team can be much more enjoyable on a dry hot day.
You also have the option to book tennis courts again for a light game with a friend.

5. Local Eateries

Many local patisseries, bakeries, restaurants and eateries have opened up their kitchens for the option of delivery. With an improvement in the weather, meeting up on a park with some amazing food and friends can be highly enjoyable. Whilst supporting  your local restaurants, you can find the best food for you in the sunshine.
